PICNIC'06 was Amsterdam's first ever annual event for people interested and involved in cross media content and technology in Europe, North America and Asia.
The event included a conference and specialty workshops, organised by industry associations, cultural groups and companies, parties as well as the PICNIC at Night public program for Amsterdam residents.
Under the theme "celebrating creative genius", PICNIC'06 provided delegates with the opportunity to discuss major trends, see innovative content, formats and channels, and develop new opportunities.
PICNIC'06 focused on showcasing content delivered to consumers via TV, the Internet, mobile phones, gaming, virtual reality and music. The conference sessions also explored online and mobile games, interactive TV show formats, multi-format brands, and consumer-generated content, amongst other topics.
